Our experienced team members are our most precious asset, having discovered, explored and developed more than 24Moz of gold resources and reserves in Ghana; and having managed Ghana's largest underground mine.About This RoleTo operate and maintain concrete mixer trucks or stationary mixers to ensure safe, efficient and timely delivery or production of quality concrete as per required specifications.Key Responsibilities
  • Operate concrete mixer truck or batching plant mixer safely and efficiently.
  • Transport and deliver concrete to designated locations (site, underground, or surface works).
  • Ensure correct mixing, slump, and consistency of concrete as per specifications.
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and routine checks on equipment.
  • Monitor mixing process and adjust water/cement ratios as required (within approved limits).
  • Safely discharge concrete at site using proper procedures.
  • Clean mixer drum and equipment after each operation to prevent buildup.
  • Report mechanical faults or defects to maintenance team promptly.
  • Maintain daily logs, delivery tickets, and operational records.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including traffic rules and site regulations.
  • Coordinate with batching plant operators, supervisors, and site personnel.
  • Assist with minor maintenance and servicing of the mixer.
Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies
  • Technical Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience operating concrete mixer trucks or batching equipment
  • Experience in construction, mining, or industrial environment preferred
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles/equipment
