- Adult education ad in-service training principles, practices and techniques
- Adult learning theory and effective presentation strategies
- Organisation and employee development principles and techniques
- Research methods and techniques
- Methodologies used to conduct a training needs analysis
- Computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other software applications as required
- Management and leadership principles and practices
- Assessing areas of staff development and training needs
- Designing and facilitating and training programmes aligned with business strategy and organisational culture
- Business development and training coordination
- Assess areas of staff development and training needs
- Build training content, develop lesson plans and create effective training guides
- Plan, develop, conduct and evaluate training and development programmes in a variety of occupational areas
- Perform a formal training needs analysis
- Plan, direct and evaluate the work of subordinate staff
- Determine cost/benefit analysis and return on investment of training and its effectiveness
- Minimum of 7 years experience as an employee trainer, a training coordinator, a training administrator, a training consultant or as a human resource professional with experience in designing and conducting employee training and development programmes
- Experience in business development and training coordination will be an advantage
