Deputy Finance Officers – University of Education

• The Deputy Finance Officer shall assist the Finance Officer in the running of the financial administration of the University in accordance with guidelines provided for in the Act, Statutes and the Public Financial Management Act.

• have a Master's degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline and Professional qualification in Accounting from a recognised Professional Accountancy Body (ICA/ACCA/CIMA etc.);
• in addition, applicant must have at least ten (10) years post qualification experience in public sector accounting and financial management practice;
• or in addition to (a) above, applicant must have served as Senior Accountant or equivalent grade in an analogous institution for a minimum of five (5) years;
• provide evidence of submission of relevant reports and publications.

• have considerable experience in corporate governance;
• be a distinguished professional with capacity to motivate and direct staff;
• be above reproach and must exhibit a high sense of industry, leadership qualities and organizational skills;
• possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
