- Assist in managing, purchasing and sourcing operations.
- Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
- Partner with superior on procurement plans to meet business strategies
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure advantageous terms
- Build and maintain long term relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Maintain procurement records and keep them current, review contracts and maintain an efficeint central file system for contracts and renewals to ensure contract compliance
- Assist in negotiating contracts, terms and deadlines
- Conduct cost analysis and setting benchmarks for continuous improvement
- Perform risk assessment on potential contracts and agreements
- Continually manage and evaluate the performance of each vendor to ensure the partnership remains mutually beneficial
- Prepare procurement reports
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement / Supply Chain Management or any related field
- 2 to 3 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a similar position is preferable
- Professional certification in Procurement or Supply or Supply Chain Management (CIPS, CPCP) will be an added advantage
- High standards of personal integrity and adherence to professional and ethical standards
- Strong problem-solving, creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
