Job DescriptionThe Engineering Department of Damang Gold Mine is seeking to employ a self-motivated individual who will be responsible for carrying out maintenance works within an area of responsibility. The incumbent will be required to maintain a safe and friendly working environment and ensure that effective engineering standards and procedures comply with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.About role:
  • Strictly execute daily routine work according to engineering standards and procedures
  • Undertake daily routine fault tracing, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, modifying and repairing crusher equipment such as cone crushers, gyratory crushers, conveyors, feeders, and piping systems
  • Suggest improved ways of performing tasks
  • Carry out responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Be responsible for his/her own safety and that of others
  • Ensure that areas of responsibility are maintained to high standards of housekeeping
  • Ensure that all fire hazard materials are eliminated
About you:
  • A technical tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Technician/Mechanic on a processing plant
  • Advance working knowledge on Centrifugal pumps, lubrication systems, conveyor systems, pebble crushers
  • An ability to work long hours to obtain the required results
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills in English Language and an ability to relate with people of diverse cultures
  • A valid Ghanaian driver's license and a proficiency in driving a light vehicles
