Reports To: Principal Officer, Diamond OperationsJob Summary: Responsible for assisting in diamond trade, certification, and compliance, ensuring alignment with national and international regulatory frameworks.Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the diamond operations, including inventory management, processing, and documentation.
Verify the authenticity, grading, and valuation of diamonds, ensuring all transactions meet industry best practices, traceability requirements, and conflict-free trade principles.
Ensure compliance with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS).
Monitor and track diamond transactions to detect and prevent illicit trade, financial crime risks, and non-compliant activities within the sector.
Develop reports on diamond industry risks, compliance issues, and trade performance, identifying emerging risks, regulatory gaps, and opportunities for strengthening governance.
Assist in the implementation of quality control measures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of diamond assessments.

Qualification Required & ExperienceSkills and Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mineral Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in diamond valuation, trade monitoring, or regulatory compliance.
Experience in inventory control.
Understanding of diamond operations and industry practices.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in data entry and management.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
