Job DescriptionPosition: Science Teacher
Location: East Legon Hills, Greater Accra Region, GhanaKey Duties and Responsibilities * Planning and Delivering Lessons
  • Develop and implement lesson plans based on the Maple
Bear curriculum and school guidelines.
  • Ensure lessons are interactive, using experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to facilitate learning.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning abilities and styles of students.
  • Classroom Management and Student Engagement
  • Maintain a disciplined, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Encourage student participation in discussions, group work, and hands-on experiments.
  • Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement.
  • Assessment and Evaluation
  • Prepare and administer formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, tests, and practical assessment.
  • Evaluate students' understanding and skills objectively, maintaining accurate records of their performance.
  • Identify areas where students need additional support and provide guidance accordingly.
  • Curriculum and Continuous Learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review
strategies and teaching resources. * Stay updated on the latest developments in science
and integrate new methodologies into teaching. * Attend professional development workshops, seminars, and trainings when available.
  • Extra-Curricular and Community Involvement
  • Organize and supervise science clubs, fairs, and competitions to foster a deeper interest in science.
  • Encourage students to participate in environmental projects, STEM initiatives, and community outreach programs.
  • Serve as a role model in demonstrating ethical standards, curiosity, and a passion for science.
  • Administrative Duties
  • Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, and teaching materials systematically.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school management regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school development programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.
  • Valid teaching certification and Licence.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for child-centered learning
