Job DescriptionPosition Summary:

  • Nestlé Ghana Limited is currently looking for a Senior Analyst – Microbiology to ensure quality and food safety of all nestle products for customer confidence and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out pathogen monitoring of environment during processing and for line releases.
  • Supervise and check that all microbiological analysis on raw materials, semi-finished, finished products and all line controls are carried out within the stipulated time.
  • Ensure analysis on water used in the plant to check the effectiveness of chlorine dosing and to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Conduct investigation into cases of microbial deviations and comes up with action plans for correction.
  • Carry out pathogen monitoring of environment during processing and for line releases.
  • Manage microbiology results of raw materials, line and finished products and uses them to advice management.
  • Train and develop analysts on microbiological techniques and rapid methods.
  • Carry out verification of cleaning of processing plant to ensure the efficiency of cleaning by sampling before and after cleaning.
Qualification required & Experience
  • Minimum Educational qualification: Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Food science, Biochemistry or related discipline.
  • Minimum Relevant work experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in food processing environment

  • Quality Control in Food or Familiarity with food safety standards .
  • Laboratory Experience: Hands-on experience with microbiological testing methods and lab equipment is essential for accurate and reliable testing.
  • Competency in SAP
