External Auditors - Bawjiase Area Rural Bank

• Conduct an independent audit of the bank’s financial statements in accordance with international standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting standards (IFRS), the companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) and the Banks and Speiclised deposit-taking institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930)
• Undertake extensive auditing of the bank’s and operational activities, test-check the adequacy of internal control systems and provide professional advice as required
• Express an independent opinion on whether the bank’s financial statements present a true and fair view of its financial position
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank’s internal control and risk management systems and report any weaknesses with recommendations for improvement
• Prepare and present the audited financial statements to shareholders at the Annual General Meetings (AGM).
• Provide assurance and advisory services as may be required by the Board from time to time

• Be duly licensed under the Chartered Accountant Act, 1963 (Act 170)
• Be members in good standing of the institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) (ICAG)
• Be recognized and approved by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to provide external audit services for financial institutions
• Demonstrate proven experience in auditing rural and community banks or other regulated financial institutions
• Have demonstrable expertise in external audit, IFRS and ISA application
• Have in-depth knowledge of auditing, accounting standards and relevant regulations and acts guiding the financial industry
