- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Manage the payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees, while also handling related tax and benefit obligations.
- Analyze financial reports and operational data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and advise on strategic decisions.
- Oversee the management of grant funds, including tracking expenses, preparing grant reports, and ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions.
- Work closely with program staff to align grant spending with program goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders and grant-making organizations.
- Oversee Production process ensure efficiency.
- Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to improve productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
- Coordinate the procurement process, including vendor selection and contract negotiation, to optimize cost-effectiveness and supply chain efficiency.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to streamline operations, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance overall organizational performance.
- Oversee facility management, including maintenance, safety protocols, and space optimization, to ensure a productive work environment.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of production staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skill development.
- Implement performance management systems to assess and improve production team performance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure seamless integration of production activities with program goals and objectives.
- Lead and supervise a team of finance and operations staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Work with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the organization's financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in financial management and operational processes.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and operations, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting processes.
- Experience with grant management, including grant reporting and compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
