- Bachelor's degree in an Art/Design/Communications or similar
- Agency experience as an Art Director/Creative Lead (5+ years)
- High level of creativity and vision with a solid understanding of design, copy and production
- Great experience in managing design and production teams; people management
- High level of accountability and motivation
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Strong ability to think critically with excellent problem-solving skills
- Good receptiveness to feedback/adaptability and ability to give constructive feedback
- Strong understanding of the client and business side of an agency
- Great networking and negotiation skills
- Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models
- Leading the creative team to maximize the creative potential and output of the Agency
- Training, mentoring and encouraging all creatives within the Agency
- Reviewing and approving all creative content and materials
- Attending to client briefs, breaking them down and delegating actions
- Working on complex and simple marketing plans, proposals and pitches based on client specifications
- Working closely with Business Development to grow the Agency through new clients and opportunities
- Performance Management duties for the Creative Dept.
- Attending and presenting at client pitches
- Attending client meetings
- Engaging in Project Management duties
- Advising clients and partners on the best creative solutions
- Working with the creative team to produce content for Social Ghana
- Evaluating trends, assessing new data, and keeping up-to-date with the latest marketing, advertising, branding and related techniques
- Directing brainstorming meetings and creative sessions.
- Shaping brand standards and creating procedures to ensure all products are brand appropriate.
- Supervising the department's daily workflow, assigning project workloads, and monitoring deadlines and budgets.
- Finalizing presentations for client pitches and proposals
- Active involvement in hiring for the Creative Team
