- Provide supervision to maintenance teams, Complete and certify scheduled and non-Scheduled maintenance tasks at an optimised cost whilst upholding high safety standards and schedule integrity.
- Effectively run the station and share all reports timely.
- Responsible for the final release of work accomplished by technicians
- Ensure tasks are performed to meet company standards and targets
- Plan and assign technicians work and provide guidance.
- Carry out and certify maintenance on cabin utilities and In-flight Entertainment (IFE) systems for utmost customer satisfaction and comfort.
- Identify and requisition correct spares.
- Review work procedures and standards and propose improvements to procedures to ensure effectiveness.
- Maintain regular communication with other stakeholders to deliver quality and on time product..
- Spearhead the effort to implement change.
- Assess defects on aircraft, rectify and certify within the limitation of company approval.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance checks and service bulletins and certify within the limitation of company approval for safe and timely release of aircraft.
- Identify and requisition of the required aircraft parts.
- Report incidents/accident occurrences as per company procedures and effectively coordinate and close any station findings.
- Co-ordinate aircraft towing to and from hangars or ramp by communicating with the tower/apron control and operating the necessary aircraft systems for safe and timely movement of the aircraft.
- Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately & signed for in order to maintain correct & up to date aircraft history /data
- Adhere to the Company Safety, Health and Environmental (OSHA) policy.
- Carry out security checks as per engineering security document annex 8.

- At least 5 years Working experience in aircraft maintenance two of which should have been an approved technician.
- Dual LWTR plus approval on at least one aircraft type.
- In-depth knowledge on aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in computer applications and MRO system.
- Inspection and troubleshooting technique.
- Supervisory skills.
- Knowledgeable on KCAA regulations.
- Knowledgeable on Kenya Airways procedures.
- Human factors knowledge.
