Job Vacancy For Senior Consultant (Operations)MODEC is seeking to recruit a Senior consultant (Operations).Job Summary
  • To provide practical support and technical engineering guidance to the business and ensure the smooth running of the operations department for the JAM FPSO onshore engineering team
  • Contribute to plant facilities continous improvement in HSE and Production performance by ensuring safety, environmental standards and procedures are followed within the workplace
  • Act as Operations resource, for management support and coordination of onshore operations group specific to the JAM FPSO operations as delegated, taking into account any agreed priorities with key stakeholders
  • Reporting direct to the Operations Manager, on priority matters
  • Operations support interface & focal point to the JAM FPSO onshore & offshore HSEQ resource, coordination of group specific to the JAM FPSO operation as delegated, taking into account any agreed priorities with the key stake holders
  • Act as client interface support focal point based in the client regional office, for business related to O&M engineering
  • Support operational personnel competencies, operational systems, procedures and identifying improvements in all areas
  • Provide on the job coaching and mentoring
  • Seek and deliver contious improvement initiatives and where possible manage the delivery of these initiative, involving other parties as required
  • Undertake routine monthly visit - approximately 3 to 5 days onboard FPSO to assist & further drive, develop & initiate improvement in consultation with client OIM, Modec FMT in the development of FPSO operations, policies, procedures, HSEQ and culture of operations and as delegated by onshore field manager
  • Provide input into preparations for planned shutdowns, engineering changes / modifications
  • Project support oversight and management
Qualification Required & Experience
  • Any Engineering related programme with preference on proven quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Certified / formal training in the management of major emergencies
  • Over 20 years of experience in a leadership/management role for a large division or company preferably in the FPSO/FSO sector
  • Excellent client interaction skills, collaborative work style and strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and lead the correct processes to reach conclusions/consensus in a facilitated meeting and positively handle disruptive or hostile participants
  • Knowledge of the various levels of listening, ability to choose the right level depending on the situation
  • Ability to objectively restate the opinions of others
  • Ability to select and use appropriate tools for the job and perform technical research as required to supplement and support Everest methodologies in delivering solutions to clients
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio) to accomplish daily business activities and facilitate communications
  • Ability to design and develop technical reference documentation for project work plans, guidelines, standards, procedures and processes that meet the needs of the target audience
  • Ability to identify key issues, analyze data and make recommendations to address problems
  • Outstanding integrity and the ability to always seek to do the right thing for the client and the firm
  • Ability to think globally and discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues. Ability to respect and appreciate different personality styles, thinking, backgrounds and cultures
