
Maintenance Planner - Underground Mining Alliance

- Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance schedules for underground mobile equipment, fixed plant, and mine infrastructure in line with OEM specifications and site requirements.
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders in collaboration with Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers, and the Operations team.
- Ensure timely procurement of parts, materials, and services to support planned maintenance activities
- Monitor and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with accurate records of all planned and completed work.
- Review maintenance reports, inspections, and equipment performance to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of major equipment failures and assist in developing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage spare parts inventory and critical component availability.
- Ensure that maintenance activities comply with company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Assist in developing long-term maintenance strategies, including shutdown and overhaul planning.
- Provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on maintenance performance and equipment downtime.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Basic mechanical or technical knowledge is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in a workshop, maintenance, or technical environment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and workshop safety procedures.
- MINCOM Certification will be an added advantage.
- Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licenses (C & E Classes) and can drive SUV underground.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Strong organizational and housekeeping skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy tools and equipment
- Demonstrated abilities to work within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of computer testing technologies
- Able to demonstrate an appropriate safety consciousness
- Ability, self-driven and ready to learn
- Must have a valid community validation form
