Reports To: Head of Unit, Mining SupportJob Summary: Supports the Head of Unit in delivering strategic and operational support to mining entities, with a focus on field implementation, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to promote responsible mining practices and sector formalisation.Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate on-site assessments and provide technical support to mining cooperatives and licensees.
Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards in small-scale mining.
Support the roll-out of formalisation initiatives, capacity-building programmes, and awareness campaigns.
Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations on field operations and sector challenges.
Engage with miners, regulators, and community leaders to enhance collaboration and regulatory uptake.

Qualification Required & ExperienceSkills and Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in mining operations, field inspections, or regulatory support roles.
Practical knowledge of ASM (Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining) practices and compliance requirements.
Strong field coordination, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
High ethical standards, adaptability, and commitment to sustainable mining.
