
Job Vacancy For Deputy Director of Pharmacy

- To assist the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring the delivery of pharmaceutical services and provide technical advice on pharmaceutical matters in the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
- Assist in medicines management and ensure the maintenance of pharmaceutical standards through monitoring, research, policy development and implementation within the Hospital.
- Provide good quality pharmaceutical services to the Director of Pharmacy in the Hospital.
- Provide support to ensure that policies, standards and protocols for effective and efficient provision of pharmaceutical services are adhered to in the Hospital.
- Advise the Director of Pharmacy on human resource matters relating to pharmacy practice within the Hospital.
- Assist to ensure the regular monitoring of standards of pharmaceutical services within the Hospital.
- Assist to promote and monitor Rational Use of Medicines (RUM) within Hospital.
- Assist in the establishment and effective functioning of Medicines and Therapeutic Committees at the various levels within the Hospital.
- The applicant must have at least twelve (12) years working experience as an Accountant with at least five (5) years post-qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant in a senior management position.
- Must be at the level of Deputy Chief Accountant and above
- Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in Management field.
- Experience of multi-agency networking, project and budget management.
- Experience in Project Financing, Planning, Appraisal and Analysis.
- A broad knowledge and experience of Health Sector Policies and Operating procedures and Financial Software applications
- A broad knowledge of financial rules and regulations particularly with regards to the health sector
- Have advanced skills in computer usage and hands-on experience in financial management applications
- Ability to establish networks within and outside the Hospital and utilize this to achieve the Hospital objectives and goals
- A broad knowledge base and experience of legal framework underpinning finance management of Government of Ghana (GOG), Ministry of Finance (MOF) and other agencies
- Demonstrate professional, clear and compassionate communication with staff, clients and community partners of the Hospital.
- Ability to accurately and effectively assess problems and identify and implement solutions.
- Ability to create a climate of trust and mutual respect, increasing the potential for employees to be productive and to feel welcome, valued, and motivated.
- Effective delegation to ensure staff are able to meet the expectations and requirements of their job and to ensure all staff are able to develop new job skills and competencies.
- Knowledge to demonstrate commitment and dedication to the work, the clients, and the Hospital.
- Knowledge and experience of health services quality assurance
