Summit Vision Microfinance Services Ltd (SVMF) is a Bank of Ghana Licensed Specialized Deposit Taking Microfinance Institution mandated to provide microfinance services to individuals and MSMEs in Ghana. The company has been operating from the Head Office in Kaneshie, Accra, with satellite activities in some communities from Ashanti, Ahafo, Western North, Brong Ahafo, Bono East to the Upper West Regions since January 2011.Specific Location: Kaneshie –Greater Accra Region.Direct reports: Operations Manager or the designee.[ad]Purpose Of PositionThe purpose of the role is to promote financial inclusion and increase access to banking services.Job SummaryMobilize funds from the field, accept deposits and loan repayments on behalf of the Institution and sell its products.Major Responsibilities (technical)
  • Intensify deposit mobilization from the field in assigned areas.
  • Collect loan repayments from customers.
  • Manage the opening of savings accounts and other deposit products on the field.
  • Surrender daily all deposits and loan repayments collected from the field.
  • Report all problems and developments encountered on the field to the supervisor.
  • Do daily call over of operations as assigned by branch management.
  • Market the Institution’s products and services.
  • Display a high level of courtesy and discipline in dealing with clients.
[ad2]Required Skills or ExperienceSkills, Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Minimum Diploma/Higher National Diploma or First Degree.
  • Either a minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar position in a microfinance or similar institution or no experience.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and a team player
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Quality oriented with an eye for detail
  • Ability to speak English, Twi, plus/minus Ga
