The job holder serves as lead in providing technical advice and manage contracts and costs of a construction projects by carrying out studies of project resource analysis and giving expert advice and suggestions on legal and contractual issues.Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support in the preparation of Bills of Quantities for various projects.
  • Actively participates in negotiating and bidding for external jobs.
  • Conducts valuation of works done on all project sites and prepares payment certificates for clients.
  • Conducts valuations on work done by subcontractors and prepares certificates.
  • Assist in cost control and resource monitoring during construction.
  • Conducts cost analysis on projects prior to signing of contracts.

  • Identify and assess financial risks throughout the project lifecycle and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Offer value engineering solutions to reduce costs without compromising on quality or safety standards.
  • Participates in negotiation of contracts and work schedules with subcontractors.
  • Assist in Preparation of program of works and monitors same during contract execution.
  • Liaises with site managers, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project execution in within scope and budget.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other necessary and relevant documents and forwarding them to the appropriate management.
  • Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors and other members of the quantity surveying team.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost estimation and reporting.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Must have strong experience in cost estimation, procurement, contract management, and project financial control is a must.
  • Must have Professional Certification as a qualified Quantity Surveyor is highly desirable (GhIS)
