- Actively promote Safety Culture and Hazard Awareness on the Mine by achieving zero reportable safety incidents, zero compliance breaches and continually review the safety standards and work practices for the workforce.
- Formulate and execute strategies that support the growth of the Mobile Maintenance section & employees' wellbeing; ensures strategies are aligned to the organization's overall strategy.
- Actively participate in the Company's Continuous Improvement Programme.
- Supervise daily maintenance activities (preventive, corrective, and breakdown) across ROC plant, batch plant, CRF systems, and UG ventilation fans.
- Lead and coordinate maintenance teams (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation technicians).
- Ensure all maintenance work is executed safely and in compliance with site safety standards and procedures.
- Execute planned maintenance schedules in coordination with the Maintenance Planner.
- Diagnose faults and oversee troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
- Ensure proper isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work systems are followed.
- Monitor equipment condition and initiate corrective actions to prevent failures.
- Review completed work orders and ensure accurate reporting in CMMS (e.g., SAP, Pronto).
- Coordinate with operations teams to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Ensure availability and proper use of tools, spares, and consumables.
- Conduct inspections and audits of plant equipment and maintenance practices.
- Train and mentor maintenance personnel and enforce discipline and performance standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Consultants & Contractors work in accordance with the contractual obligations with the Company.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor or authorized delegate.
- Bachelor's Degree /Higher National Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Certificate of competency as an Engineering Supervisor from the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission (IDMC).
- Minimum of five (5) years hands on experience in mining maintenance field with three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Duty of Care Standards, Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, and Mining Inspection Act & Regulations.
- Ability to prepare estimates, tender document specifications for any mechanical works and analyze offers to recommend the best
- Excellent understanding of contract maintenance, vendor and contractor warranties.
- Possess knowledge of all phases of mobile equipment including critical components and change-out hours.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Complete understanding of mine and maintenance operations
- Has the skill of planning, deciding priorities and able to plan jobs in coordination with colleagues, other Departments and Government Authorities.
- Experience managing diverse employees (language, cultural, religious, etc).
- Ability to develop processes and procedures that integrate behavioral aspects into a system and be able to integrate across the departments.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including word, excel, power point, outlook and other Mechanical Maintenance software /systems.
- High level of professionalism, diplomacy, respect for confidentiality and candor in daily work ethics.

- Good written and oral communication and report writing skills.
