- Perform prescribed testing of new materials, work-in-process inventory and finished goods to ensure comformance of materials with precribed quality acceptance standards
- Provide expertise for product analysis product safety and sanitation training for entire plant population
- Manage various document systems, including specifications, hold forms and sanitation procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency
- Audit and ensure compliance with customer requirements, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), as well as all relevant product safety and sanitation policies, procedures and guidelines
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate ingredient, finished product, work-in-process, supplies, warehouse, equipment maintenance and calibration records
- Directly supervise 3 to 7 Lab Technicians in the Quality Assurance department
- HND/BSc in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Food Science or related major from an accredited 4 years university
- 5 years of relevant experience and/or training
- Knowledge of microbiology, chemical testing principles. GMPs and HACCP standards required
- The individual must be proficient in Microsoft Word, excel, Access and PowerPoint applications
- He/She may be required to work nights and weekends including occasional travels when required
