Job DescriptionThe Mining Department of Abosso Goldfields Limited - Damang Mine is seeking to employ an experienced and suitably qualified individual for the position of Production Supervisor. The incumbent will use his/her expertise to ensure the safe utilization of assigned equipment, resources, competencies and skills of mining contractors to meet daily planned production targets.Key ResponsibilitiesChair daily tools box safety Meetings and report on sameOrganise personnel and equipment safely and effectively to achieve daily targets.Visit all areas of responsibility and ensure that correct work procedures are followedInvestigate all accidents/incidents and report on sameMaintain a culture of Continuous ImprovementEnsure the achievement of qualitative and quantitative outputs through the efficient utilization of available resourcesInitiate cost saving practices and productivity improvement of specially assigned projectsMaintain a safe and environmentally friendly working environmentKey RequirementsA minimum of a degree or diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized institutionFive years' experience as a Supervisor on a Surface Mine (Open Pit Operations)Well-developed oral and written communication skillsMedical fitness for the position and environmentA hands-on approach and be willing to work long hours to obtain the required resultsCompetent in the operation of at least three earth moving equipment including Excavator, Grader, Dozer or Haul TruckAt least Mine Captain and Supervisory Skills Training CertificatesExtensive knowledge in applicable Mining RegulationsExtensive knowledge and experience in Drilling & Blasting activities will be an advantageA valid Ghanaian driver's licenseClosing Date: 3rd March 2025HOW TO APPLY
