BGSL is part of BRAC International Holdings B.V (BIHBV) which operates in seven countries across Africa and Asia.Job DescriptionPURPOSEProvides support in areas of reporting, credit analysis, operations policies, manual and procedures and engaging technical teams with business requirements and set-up in the core banking system (T24)MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESData Analysis and Reporting:
  • Gather and review data on current operations through observations, reports, and interviews.
  • Analyse current operations and complex data sheets to determine strengths and areas for improvements.
  • Prepare weekly/ monthly/ quarterly and annual operations and financial reports and present to Management in line with internal reporting structure and Bank of Ghana reporting requirements.

  • Review credit proposals for business teams
  • Engage credit committee with credit assessments and recommendations
  • Train business teams on good credit decision making
  • Assess credit processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness
Business Process Improvements:
  • Evaluate existing processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
  • Identify and analyze operational issues.
  • Develop and implement solutions to address problems.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Identifies and compares the efficiency of new processes.
Implementing Business Requirements:
  • Engage business teams on change requests for business processes Liaise with IT departments and external partners to develop solutions based on change requests
  • Test all solutions provided by the IT teams
  • Engage management for approval to implement change requests.
Data Analysis and Reporting:

Safeguarding Responsibilities
  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
[ad2]Required Skills or ExperienceSPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
  • Master’s Degree
  • Concentration / Major: Business Administration, Information Management System, Information technology, Management, Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
EXPERIENCE (Including sector/industry)
  • 5 years’ experience minimum in comparable positions in terms of responsibility in banking or microfinance in a middle management role.
  • Experience in operations and financial data analysis, and reporting in a financial Institution is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic/operational plans for financial institutions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel,
  • Effective communication skills
  • Reporting and writing skills in English.
