REPORTING TO: Vice-ChancellorJob RoleThe successful applicant shall:
- provide legal advice on all University matters;
- draft, review or interpret all agreements involving the
- University;
- draft, review or interpret policies involving the University;
- represent or ensure appropriate representation of the University in dispute resolution proceedings, including out-of-court settlements.
- supervise all external legal services provided to the University to ensure that they meet the highest possible standards;
- facilitate the work of disciplinary boards or committees and provide legal support in the conduct of disciplinary proceedings;
- facilitate the work of the Appeals Board of the University;
- facilitate the work of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the University;
- serve on relevant planning and policy making committees of the University;
- review University initiatives, decisions and processes for legal compliance
- perform any other functions that the Council or the Vice-Chancellor may assign.
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
- A postgraduate degree in Law
- Be enrolled at the Ghana Bar Association
- Minimum of 15 years post qualification experience, at least 6 years of which should be at the managerial level
- substantial litigation experience
- proven leadership and administrative abilities, demonstrated by substantial and relevant work experience; evidence of coordinating work of units, sections or teams; ability to initiate policies; and ability to mentor.

- A statement of about 2,500 words (not more than five pages) indicating how the applicant intends to use the period in office to address relevant issues that will ensure that the University achieves its mission and vision as contained
