Reports To: Principal Officer, TechnicalJob Summary:Responsible for supporting the assay unit in ensuring accurate and reliable testing of gold and precious metals, including conducting assays, maintaining quality standards, and upholding the integrity of gold-related activities.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct testing of gold samples using techniques such as fire assay, wet chemistry, XRF analysis, and other relevant methods.
Ensure accurate metal composition and purity determination for licensing or regulatory purposes.
Assist in the validation and verification of new testing methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Follow quality control protocols to ensure consistency in assay results.
Assist in maintaining compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
Support audits of laboratory processes and equipment to ensure adherence to standards.

Qualification Required & ExperienceSkills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Material Science, Mining Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in assaying and metallurgical analysis.
Knowledge of assay techniques such as fire assay, wet chemistry, XRF analysis, and other analytical methods for precious metals.
Proficiency in laboratory management software and data analysis tools.
Understanding of regulatory frameworks governing precious metal testing and certification.
Ethical and responsible in maintaining integrity in assay results and sample handling.
