Job Vacancy For Pipe Fitters (5 Positions)A reputable international engineering and maintenance company, Southey Contracting LTD, seeks to receive your curriculum vitae for the following position: Pipe FittersQualification Required & Experience
  • Must be able to identify pipe sizes and wall thicknesses
  • Must be able to make up pipe fabrication jigs
  • Must be able to develop pipe penetrations
  • Must be able to perform pipe bending with pipe bender or heat bend
  • Must be able to identify flange specifications and pressure ratings
  • Must be able to produce and read piping diagrams
  • Must be able to make pipe weld preparation as per relevant weld procedure specification
  • Must be able to compile material list from piping diagrams
  • Must be able to identify pipe thread sizes
  • Must be able to tack weld and assemble piping
  • Must be able to work accurately
  • Must have knowledge of flange to pipe fitment standards
  • Must be able to know how and when to install assembly braces
  • Must be able to identify the appropriate PPE for the respective pipe fitting tasks
