understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations, as well as the
ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams to achieve quality
objectives. He/ she plays an important role in leading quality assurance efforts to
optimize quality processes, reduce non-conformances, to ensure the final
deliverable meets the desired quality and safety standards.Key Tasks:Auditing:
Plan, organize, conduct timely internal quality audits.
Arrange, Plan, and conduct audits with external bodies as required.
Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure all quality management documents are correct and complete.
Prepare metrics, reports, and documentation for project stakeholders,
including contractors, project managers, and regulatory authorities.
Confirm documentation requirement as per ISO 9001 Standard.
Review documentation and propose solutions to identified issues.
Develop method statements, with risk assessments and environmental
analysis considerations.Compliance: Monitor the implementation of QA processes and plans (Inspection Test
Plans and Quality Control Plans)
Develop and implement project-specific quality control plans (QCPs),
inspection and test plans (ITPs), and QA processes.
Ensure quality processes improvements.
Material and Equipment Inspection:
Arrange, confirm validity and process of the calibration and maintenance of
testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
Confirm suppliers QA processes.
Ensure all material data availability for submittals.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure the requirements of the Mowlem QMS in accordance with ISO
9001:2015 is followed.
Promote and enforce safety standards and practices on the construction
site.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS)
regulations.
Non-Conformance Management:
Issue NCR when defects identified, maintain records with action plans to be
taken, responsibility, costs of NCR, and dates.
Root Cause Analysis:
Apply quality tools to identify root causes of issues on site and propose
methodologies to fix processes and prevent future repetitions.
Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders,
including construction teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Maintain the project communication register.
Arrange all quality document submittals to client.
Conduct periodic team meetings to ensure alignment with QA process and
address issues with QA tools
Gather comments and feedback to optimize systems and processesTraining and Education:
Provide guidance and training to construction personnel on quality
standards, procedures, and best practices.Key Personal Attributes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality. Problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy office environment.
Proficiency in using measurement and testing equipment.
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Teams, etc.)
Computer literacy and proficiency in using quality management software and
tools.Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Relevant certifications in Standard Quality Management System, such as
Quality Management System Certified Lead Auditor.Essential Experience:
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Application.
