Accounts Officer: Construction - Reputable Company

- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of cash and bank balances.
- Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and ensure timely settlements.
- Payroll processing, ensuring statutory deductions (SSNIT, PAYE, etc.) are accurate and submitted on time.
- Maintain a well-organized filing system for financial documents (both physical and electronic).
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing budgets and expenditure forecasts.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary records and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Membership in a professional accounting body (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
