Location: Tema
Purpose:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all electrical installations, troubleshooting,
maintenance, and upgrades of production and utility systems to ensure consistent, safe, and cost-effective
operations in the factory.Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and supervise electrical maintenance of all production equipment and facilities.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, motors, panels, and automation
  • equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with safety regulations and Ghana’s Energy Commission standards.
  • Collaborate with the production and mechanical teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation of all electrical systems, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Lead and mentor junior electrical technicians and apprentices.
  • Monitor power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers for technical support, parts, and installations.
  • Support commissioning of new machinery and systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG).
  • Proficiency in PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar).
  • Solid knowledge of motor control systems, VFDs, and electrical safety protocols.
  • Certified Electrical Wiring Professional (CEWP) from the Energy Commission of Ghana (advantageous).
  • Strong understanding of Ghanaian and international electrical standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
