Location: Tema
Purpose:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all electrical installations, troubleshooting,
maintenance, and upgrades of production and utility systems to ensure consistent, safe, and cost-effective
operations in the factory.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and supervise electrical maintenance of all production equipment and facilities.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, motors, panels, and automation
- equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with safety regulations and Ghana’s Energy Commission standards.
- Collaborate with the production and mechanical teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of all electrical systems, repairs, and upgrades.
- Lead and mentor junior electrical technicians and apprentices.
- Monitor power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers for technical support, parts, and installations.
- Support commissioning of new machinery and systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG).
- Proficiency in PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of motor control systems, VFDs, and electrical safety protocols.
- Certified Electrical Wiring Professional (CEWP) from the Energy Commission of Ghana (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of Ghanaian and international electrical standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
