Whether you’re a freelancer, SME, or growing enterprise, PayVoicer helps you stay compliant and get paid faster.We are seeking an entrepreneurial and persuasive Business Development and Growth Lead to drive user acquisition. You’ll help us grow our reach across Ghana by introducing the product to freelancers, small business owners, and agencies. Success in this role means converting leads into active paying users and bringing valuable insight from the field to help us improve our go-to-market strategy.This is a unique opportunity to shape a fintech product from the ground up while working closely with the founder.[ad]Responsibilities
  • Identify, pitch, and onboard freelancers, SMEs, and service providers to use PayVoicer
  • Communicate the value of the product to potential users, including how it supports VAT compliance and simplifies payment
  • Drive outreach via WhatsApp, phone calls, email, social media, events, or in-person visits
  • Convert leads into paying subscribers (monthly and yearly plans)
  • Monitor conversion metrics and user feedback to help shape the growth strategy
  • Actively participate in team meetings and discussions with the founder to align on business goals
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the founder or CEO
Qualifications
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills
  • Prior experience in business development, client outreach, sales, or customer onboarding is preferred
  • Ability to independently execute outreach strategies and close deals
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a dynamic, resource-limited environment
  • Knowledge of digital payments (e.g., Paystack) or invoicing platforms is a plus
  • Based in Ghana or highly familiar with the Ghanaian small business landscape
  • Must be comfortable with remote collaboration tools and self-management
LocationPreferably based in Accra, Kumasi, or Tamale. We also welcome applicants from vibrant business communities such as Takoradi, Cape Coast, Sunyani, Ho, Techiman, and other parts of Ghana, where you have access to small business networks and can drive client acquisition.[ad2]CompensationEquity: Up to 1% (3-year vesting schedule, subject to performance)Commission:
  • 10% on the first monthly subscription payment from new customers
  • 20% on new yearly subscriptions
  • 10% bonus when monthly subscribers upgrade to yearly within 3 months
This role starts as equity + commission-based. If performance targets are met and the company scales, there is potential for it to transition into a salaried position.
