Job Vacancy For Senior Quantity SurveyorA reputable building, civil and mining construction company operating in Ghana invites interested and qualified applicants to apply for the following position: Senior Quantity SurveyorThe Senior QS role will be in charge of managing all costs related to civil and mining engineering and building projects from the first calculations to the final numbers. The QS is tasked with reducing the overall cost of project thus ensuring value for money. The QS role reports to the contracts Manager.Key Responsibilities
  • Manages projects costs to ensure value for money
  • Provides information to site management for compilation of reports and certificates
  • Drafts monthly payment certificates, records and processes additional work and variation claims
  • Undertake risk analysis evaluations of projects to make appropriate recommendations to management
  • Represents the company with the client's representative on site
  • Must be able to do full valuations and cost reports
Qualification required & experience
  • Must have a proven experience in QS role for a minimum of 10 years
  • Competency in the use of construction/Projects Management and measurement tools is a must
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and standard OSHE guidelines
  • Must have track record of good leadership skills and be able to drive production on schedule
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively using appropriate ICT channels
  • Fluency in written and spoken French is added advantage
