Job Vacancy For Associate ProfessorThe Faculty of Law, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for appointment as Faculty Members.Applicants must be able to teach at least THREE of the following Courses:
  • Jurisprudence
  • Equity and Succession
  • The Law of Torts
  • Law of Immovable Property
  • Criminology/Penology
  • Legal System/Method
  • International Trade and Investment
  • Human Rights Law
  • Procurement Law
  • Intellectual Property Law
  • Research Method for Lawyers
  • Natural Resource Law
  • Environmental Law
Qualification Required & ExperienceThe candidate must:
  • Possess a PhD with specialisation in the particular areas of study listed above or a closely related academic area ;
  • Have considerable teaching experience in the relevant area of specialisation in a reputable tertiary institution;
  • Have a strong research background and professional experience;
  • Have a record of outstanding scholarship in the relevant area of study; and via. Experience of and commitment to excellent teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • Applicants should have a commitment to the advancement of research and scholarship, a willingness to learn new approaches and techniques and to be available for student supervision. Applicants should also be prepared to teach in the distance education mode.
