The AI Expert will lead initiatives that integrate AI and machine learning technologies into the company’s processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.[ad]MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESAI Solution Development and Deployment
  • Identify, design, and implement AI models (e.g., predictive analytics, natural language processing, chatbots) to support key business areas.
  • Develop AI solutions to enhance HR operations, Risk Monitoring, Fraud Detection, and other Strategic and Operational functions.
Data Strategy and Model Management
  • Collaborate on data collection, cleaning, and preparation to support AI models.
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve AI models for accuracy and relevance.
Business Impact and Innovation
  • Provide insights on how AI can drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business growth.
  • Explore and pilot innovative AI technologies suited for microfinance and savings & loans operations.
Governance and Compliance
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document AI models and processes for transparency and audit purposes.
Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building
  • Design and deliver internal training programs to build AI literacy and usage capabilities across departments.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on AI applications and best practices.
CHALLENGES
  • Ensure AI solutions are practical, user-friendly, and embraced by teams.
  • Work with imperfect or incomplete data typical in microfinance settings.
  • Stay updated on AI trends to keep solutions relevant and competitive.
[ad2]Required Skills or ExperienceYou have a:Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development and deployment.
  • A track record of applying AI in operational environments (e.g., customer service, HR, risk, or fraud detection)
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into operational language and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders across departments.
  • Experience in the banking sector is an advantage.
Training Requirements
  • Formal training in machine learning, AI tools, data privacy standards, and model governance.
