Job Vacancy For Principal Officer, Research Planning, Monitoring and EvaluationJob Purpose
  • To provide technical and operational support in research for the achievement of mandate of the organization
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide inputs for the formulation of policies for the organization
  • Supervise the analysis of data on research
  • Supervise the preparation of draft research reports
  • Supervise the dissemination of research reports
  • Supervise the collation of data for the preparation of guidelines, procedures and processes in the implementation of programmes and activities of the unit
  • Supervises the collation of data for the development of performance indicators for monitoring
  • Supervises the analysis of data on monitoring
  • Supervises the collation of data for the preparation of strategic, medium term and annual plans of the organization
  • Supervises the evaluation of the analysis results
  • Supervises the preparation of draft monitoring and evaluation reports
  • Supervises the collation of data for the preparation of guidelines, procedures and processes in the implementation of programmes and activities of the unit
  • Ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of comprehensive database on the programmes and activities of the unit
  • Supervises the preparation of the annual work plans of the unit
  • Collates data for the preparation of the budget of the unit
  • Supervises the collation of data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the unit
  • Supervises and appraise the performance of subordinate staff of the unit
  • Collaborate data for the preparation of the annual work plans for the unit
  • Supervises the preparation of the budget of the unit
  • Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff of the unit
  • Collaborate closely with officers, departments, local and international partners in the implementation of programmes and activities of the unit
Qualification Required & Experience
  • A minimum of a Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Science or any related field from an accredited tertiary institution
  • A minimum of 6 years post-qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution, 2 years of which must be in a management position
  • Must pass a competitive selection interview
