Job purposeAs a National Service Personnel/ Data and Technology Risk Intern, you will work on various audit engagements in different industry sectors in which EY is acknowledged as a market leader, specifically: financial services, energy & utilities, oil & gas, mining & metals, telecommunications, industrial products, automotive, retail and consumer products, real estate, etc.Your client responsibilitiesIT AuditWorking in a team, you will interact with the client to collect all necessary data/ information, obtain an understanding of their IT environments, IT risks and controls, and cyber security profiles. You will test their controls against their policies and/or leading practice, evaluate the effectiveness of their control environments and recommend improvements.Data AnalyticsWorking in a team, you will work with the data analytics team and perform extraction, loading and transformation of client data to provide quality assurance of the data for audit purposes. Also, you will use automated tools to perform data analytics of client primary and secondary data sets and provide client insight as well as meeting general audit requirements.Your people responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Final year university student pursuing. Data Science/Analytics, Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting with strong IT Interest, or related field.
  • Expected CGPA of a Second Class Upper and above.
  • A relevant certificate in Data / Business Analytics will be an added advantage.
  • A relevant or a high motivation and drive to obtain an IT audit or information security professional certification(s) (CISA/CRISC/CISM/CISSP etc will be an added advantage
  • An associate of ICAG/ ACCA or a high motivation and drive to pursue professional qualification and career in accounting/finance will be an added advantage.
SkillsTechnical Skills
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Python, R, SQL, or other relevant software.
  • Intermediate to Advance skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Advanced Excel skills including data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and macros.
  • Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • IT Risk Management: Knowledge of IT risk management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud computing services and technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Network Security: Basic understanding of network security concepts and protocols.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex problems and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in analysing data and identifying potential risks.
