Job Vacancy For General Surgeon

• Attends to all general surgical cases that come to the hospital, including emergency cases and referrals
• Ensures the highest clinical standards are met in the provision of surgical care
• Performs outpatient clinics ad ward rounds
• Performs endoscopy (Upper GI, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy)
• Ensures regular clinical audits are done to improve quality of care
• Facilitates development and updates of clinical protocols and guidelines for the effective management of surgical patients
• Contributes to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
• Provides clinical leadership in the surgical unit
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

• A medical degree (MBCB, MBBS, MD)
• A valid certification with the Medical & Dental Council (MDC)
• Postgraduate Fellowship in General Surgery (GCPS, WACS or any other institution recognised by the MDC)
• Must possess practical work experience not less than 3 years post fellowship
• Work experience in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is highly essential
• Work experience in Laparoscipic Surgery is an added advantage
• Critical, analytical and attention to detail is a requirement for this role
