Experience Level: Mid to Senior Experience LevelKey ResponsibilitiesTechnical / Project Work (CETECH Ghana)
- Perform and supervise welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and metal fabrication projects involving steel, aluminum, and iron alloys.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on metal structures and equipment in industrial and building settings.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication and repair works.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality assurance protocols.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians on projects, promoting best practices.
- Welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Aluminum and steel fabrication
- Maintenance metal work and troubleshooting
- Blueprint reading and measurement
- Safety standards and workshop practices
- Prepare lesson plans, hands-on exercises, and student assessments.
- Train students on practical skills using real tools and machinery.
- Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Support curriculum development and ensure compliance with TVET requirements.
- TVET Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's Degree in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in welding and metal fabrication, including work with aluminum and steel.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in a formal or informal setting.
- Proficient in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and metal maintenance.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, measurements, and metal properties.
- Deep understanding of workshop safety and Ghanaian industry standards.
- Certified Welding Technician or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in TVET institutions or technical training environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.
- Passion for hands-on, practical teaching and workforce development.
