- hold PhD in Education, Economics, Development Studies or any related social science discipline.
- preferably have a strong quantitative background.
- be a proficient user of any of the statistical packages for data management (e.g. STATA, SPSS, etc.).
- demonstrate or have the capacity to attract funding for research and innovation.
- Be creative and able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Actively promote the mission and pursue the functions of LCERP.
- Develop detailed work plans for research activities, including schedules of proposals developed and submitted for grants.
- Conduct individual research or collaborate in wider research and scholarly activities of the Centre to enhance its profile.
- Proactively collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for external funding sources, prepare grant proposals, and disseminate research results and findings.
- Stay up-to-date on all organisational development knowledge and practices.
- Participate in limited teaching in Departments, and supervise graduate students associated with the Centre.
