- Assist faculty in preparing and delivering tutorials, and out of class practical accounting sessions.
- Support students in understanding key accounting concepts such as financial reporting, cost accounting, audit, taxation, and accounting information systems.
- Grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects promptly and fairly under faculty guidance.
- Facilitate tutorial sessions, review classes, and small group discussions.
- Help organize departmental activities such as guest lectures, workshops, accounting simulations, and field visits.
- Support the development of instructional materials, problem sets, spreadsheets, and case studies.
- Maintain academic records and monitor student progress and engagement.
- Hold office hours to provide academic assistance and mentoring to students.
- Assist in faculty-led research and data gathering related to accounting and finance.
- Manage LMS platforms (e.g., uploading materials, tracking submissions) and troubleshoot classroom technology when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICA, CPA) or Master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of financial and managerial accounting, IFRS, taxation, auditing, and accounting software/tools.
- Familiarity with accounting packages (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP), spreadsheet tools (e.g., MS Excel), and data analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic support is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
