Every smartphone that reaches an M-KOPA customer starts somewhere. It arrives in a warehouse, gets configured to spec, quality-checked, logged, and dispatched — before it ends up in the hands of someone who's using it to run a business, stay connected, or access financial services for the very first time. That process sounds simple. Done well, at volume, day after day, it's anything but. If you're looking for an opportunity where you can learn by doing, build strong work habits, and be part of a team that keeps things moving behind the scenes — this is worth your attention. M-KOPA is looking for a Warehouse Operations Intern to join our Logistics and Warehouse Operations team. This is a junior, entry-level role designed for individuals who are early in their working journey — whether you've just finished school or have some exposure to a similar environment and want to build practical experience. This is a hands-on, operational role at the heart of our supply chain — and it's the kind of opportunity that gives you real insight into how a fast-growing business runs on a day-to-day basis. We've served more than 7 million customers across Africa, unlocking over $2 billion in credit. 55% of those customers are accessing formal financial services for the very first time. 86% report a meaningful improvement in their quality of life. We're growing toward 10 million customers — and every device that flows through our warehouse is a step in that direction. Our product portfolio includes smartphones, digital loans, device protection, health insurance, and mobile data. The warehouse operation that supports all of this isn't a background function. It's the link between what we offer and what our customers actually receive. Requirements: What makes you ready for this: You’ve recently completed school (Matric) or have some early work experience, ideally in a warehouse, retail, or similar hands-on environment You’re willing to learn, take direction, and build practical skills in a structured working environment You have good attention to detail and can follow processes accurately, especially when working on tasks that require consistency and focus You’re comfortable using basic computer systems or are open to learning You’re dependable, take responsibility for your work, and work well as part of a team This role is about building a strong foundation.: You'll gain practical exposure to how a warehouse operates in a fast-paced business. Most importantly, you'll develop workplace habits and experience that can open doors into logistics, supply chain, retail operations, or broader business roles over time. If you're starting out and looking for an opportunity to gain real experience, learn valuable skills, and be part of something meaningful — this is a strong place to begin.
