We don’t believe in the ‘one size fits all’ approach and instead we will equip you with the tools you need to shape your own future.Job PurposeThe Engineering Stores Clerk at Unilever is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory records of spare parts, tools, fuels and maintenance materials used in plant operations. The role ensures accurate stock levels, proper storage, and timely issuance of engineering items to support maintenance and production teams. This position requires strong attention to detail, inventory management skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.What Will Your Main Responsibilities BeInventory ManagementReceive, store, and issue engineering spare parts, tools, and consumables including fuels to maintenance/Boiler operations teams.Maintain accurate stock records using Unilever’s ERP system (e.g., SAP MM or SAP PM).Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) practices to prevent obsolescence.Store Operations & LogisticsProperly label and organize spare parts for easy identification and retrieval.Assist in reordering spare parts by monitoring minimum and maximum stock levels.Ensure timely delivery of requested materials to support maintenance work orders.Report damaged, obsolete, or missing items to the Stores Manager for corrective action.Compliance & SafetyFollow Unilever’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies in the storage and handling of materials.Ensure proper storage of hazardous materials following safety regulations.Maintain a clean and organized store to prevent accidents and improve efficiency.Documentation & ReportingUpdate inventory records and stock movement reports in SAP or other inventory management systems.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels and usage trends.Support audits and inspections by ensuring all records and documents are up to date.What You Need To SucceedExperiences & QualificationsDiploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse operations, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.Experience using SAP MM (Material Management) or other inventory management systems is an advantage.Strong knowledge of engineering spare parts and industrial equipment.SkillsAttention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software (e.g., SAP).Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with maintenance and procurement teams.LeadershipYou are energized by delivering fantastic results.
