Experience Level: Mid to Senior Experience LevelKey ResponsibilitiesTechnical / Project Work (CETECH Ghana)
- Perform and supervise plumbing installations for water supply, drainage, and gas systems
- Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance for residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Collaborate on projects requiring system design, pipe sizing, fixture layout, and CAD-based planning
- Ensure compliance with Ghana Plumbing Code, building regulations, and safety standards
- Work with project teams to complete installations on-time and within budget
- Mentor junior technicians and support on-site skills development
- Deliver structured training programs across 3 to 24 months in areas including:
- Apprentice & Maintenance Plumbing
- Emergency Plumbing & Safety Protocols
- Plumbing System Design & Drafting
- Residential, Sewerage, Gas & Commercial Plumbing
- Prepare lesson plans, workshop demonstrations, and student assessments
- Instruct using real tools and equipment in a controlled, safety-first environment
- Support curriculum updates aligned with TVET and regulatory requirements
- Monitor student progress and provide practical feedback for skills improvement
- TVET HND or Bachelor's Degree in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
- 8+ years of hands-on plumbing experience, including residential, commercial, and/or gas systems
- 1-2 years of teaching, training, or mentorship experience in a formal or informal setting
- Deep understanding of water systems, drainage, sanitary installations, and piping layout
- Knowledge of Ghana's plumbing codes, safety standards, and certification requirements
- Competence in reading blueprints, interpreting schematics, and using technical documentation
- Experience with CAD software for plumbing design (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.)
- Certification in gas plumbing or experience working with LPG/natural gas systems
- Prior involvement with TVET institutions or training programs
- Strong communication, presentation, and instructional skills
- Ability to manage a classroom and inspire students through hands-on learning
