- To provide leadership, technical and operational direction in the implementation of Performance Management with the aim of ensuring a linkage between pay and performance/productivity in the public service.
- Provides technical inputs to management on the formulation and implementation of Government Policy to manage performance in the public service;
- Oversees the management of the human, material and financial resources of the Directorate to improve efficiency;
- Coordinates the development and implementation of operational work plan for the Directorate;
- Oversees the design of framework for the implementation and management of performance in the public service with a view to linking pay to productivity;
- Leads processes towards the determination of performance management and productivity indicators and their measurement at various levels of the Performance Management System;
- Coordinates the implementation of a merit-based reward, incentive and corrections system in the Public Service and ensure a linkage of pay to productivity in the public service;
- Coordinates the development and institution of Change-Management and organisational development programmes in the public services to facilitate improved performance;
- Supervises the preparation and submission of annual budget, quarterly and annual report of the Directorate;
- Oversees the implementation of performance management in the Directorate.
- A Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or any related Social Science discipline with not less than 10 years work experience in Human Resource Management role, 6 years of which must be in a Senior Management position
