- Provide OEM Technical Support to customers through the establishment of effective management systems for equipment operation
- Conduct employee and customer training on Sandvik surface equipment for both Top Hammer (TH) and Down The Hole (DTH)
- Manage all customer and stakeholder relationship with respect to drill and blast hole operations
- Develop appropriate training, learning and development programs to ensure that the identified business needs are met.
- Develop annual training plans in accordance with the business strategy.
- Assist with Loading and off-loading of surface equipment as may be directed by supervisor or requested by related stakeholders
- Maintain established training facilities and manage curriculum in accordance with Sandvik standards.
- Develop and maintain curriculum in accordance with Sandvik standards
- Develop and provide a framework for procedures, support, and guidance for accurate evaluation of training effectiveness.
- Identify, engage, and manage appropriate third-party training providers.
- Take personal responsibility for Environment, Health & Safety, and duty of care.
- Ensure continuous improvement initiatives to promote Sandvik’s business image and related product and service offering.
- Ensure compliance with all Sandvik Policies & Procedures.
- Degree Qualified Engineer or good trade background with relevant equipment operational and managerial experience.
- Trainer assessor course role or five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong business sense and EHS focus.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and people management skills are essential.
- Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and other MS office applications.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations for extended period of times is essential.
- Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary and provide guidance to members of the team.
- Experience in operating, maintaining blast holes and reverse circulation drills.
- Acquired knowledge in rock tools and drilling operations in both surface and underground.
- Ability to communicate in French will be an added advantage
- Possess required MINCOM certification
- Must possess all drilling/driving related licenses
