Job Vacancy For Communications Officers

• To develop content and oversee all creative inputs on the organisation's communications and publications.

• Develop and implement the organizations communication strategy
• Develop, write, edit and share communication content, including press releases, website content, annual reports, newsletter, speeches with the organisation's audiences
• Respond to media enquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders including the media
• Manage and coordinate the organisation's events
• Maintain records of media coverage, including media database and metrics
• Host and maintain the organisation's website and social media platforms with regular updates
• Maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos
• Work with communications team members to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns
• Able to advise management on all communication issues

• The Communication Officer must have the following essential qualities to qualify for consideration:
• First degree in Communication Studies, Journalism, relevant specialist subject and more than three (3) years of professional experience in the communication field
• Understanding of communications, public relations and marketing best practices
• Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc
• Must possess exceptional writing skills and able to compose engaging and accurate content
• Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
• Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
• Ability to work with minimum supervision is critical
