- To manage safe and efficient supply vessel port call operations in support of offshore drilling and construction projects.
- Manage labour and equipment requirements for successful shipside operations.
- Coordinate material movements to and from shipside through effective communication with the Takoradi material and logistics team.
- Provide suitable documentation and reports to ensure traceability of materials handled.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Environment, Health and Safety by abiding by International and Ghanaian EHS policy ensuring compliance to statute international port regulations and oil industry best practice.
- Liaise with DMC's onshore to have a thorough understanding of the material being returned to shore and the planned load out for each vessel call.
- Ensure availability of suitable manpower and equipment for the transfer to and from the quayside of all materials received from the vessel and all materials to be loaded to the vessel.
- Ensure all materials to be handled meet the requirements of local QAQC guidelines and checklists thus assuring the transport of the materials follows relevant legislation and safe working practices.
- Ensure readiness of cargo handling equipment to meet the stevedoring needs of the vessel to achieve timely discharge and loading operations.
- Strategic planning, preparation and execution of vessel cargo operations. Manage day-to-day port operations, ensuring compliance to Ghanaian and International standards and industry best practices. Ensure availability of suitable manpower and equipment for the transfer to and from the quayside of all materials received from the vessel and all materials to be loaded to the vessel.
- Ensure all materials to be handled meet the requirements of local QAQC guidelines and checklists thus assuring the transport of the materials is in compliance with relevant legislation and safe working practices.
- Receive documentation from DMC's onshore, Vendors and relevant third parties to enable preparation of the Tullow cargo manifest. Circulate cargo manifest to relevant parties.
- Produce any required operation reports on a timely basis.
- Hold meetings with relevant stakeholders and logistics service providers in the port to encourage continuous improvement and quality of the supply vessel cargo operations.
- Developing a career path for subordinates, identifying ongoing training requirements.
- Any other tasks which may be required from time to time.
