- The Account Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial transactions of the organization. • This includes preparing and maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- The role supports the finance team in achieving accurate and timely financial reporting and plays a key part in ensuring the company's financial health.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company maintains sufficient liquidity.
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or errors in financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support business decisions.
- Ensure all financial reports are accurate and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Assist with tax filings, ensuring that all tax returns are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and internal financial policies.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Implement and follow-up on audit recommendations for improving financial controls.
- Maintain and organize financial documents and records for easy retrieval and reference.
- Ensure that all financial documentation is stored securely and in compliance with company policies.
- Assist the Finance Manager in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ).
